Health Care Assistant - Bevan 1 at Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Whiston Hospital (Prescot, L35). Bevan 1 is an acute frailty unit with a Same Day Emergency Care area and a 16‑bed inpatient ward caring for older people with acute needs. In this permanent Band 2 role (salary £24,465 pro rata), you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, person‑centred care: supporting personal hygiene and toileting, assisting with feeding and monitoring nutrition and fluid intake, manoeuvring patients and equipment safely, recording observations and escalating concerns, and carrying out delegated tasks within your training. Shifts are available full‑time and part‑time and you will take part in handovers, contribute to a safe ward environment and help welcome and teach new colleagues.
