Support women and their families through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood as a Maternity Care Assistant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Working alongside midwives and the wider multidisciplinary team across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal settings, you will provide compassionate, woman‑centred care including personal care, observation and basic clinical tasks within your competence, infant feeding support, and practical help with newborn care. The role also includes administrative duties such as accurate record keeping, maintaining equipment and stock, infection prevention, and recognising and escalating concerns or emergencies in a timely way. You’ll be trained for the specific clinical areas you work in and encouraged to develop new skills in line with the Maternity Support Worker framework.

This permanent Band 2 post (salary £24,465 p.a.) is available full‑time or part‑time at Worcester (WR5). It suits caring, reliable people with GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) and an NVQ Level 2 in Health Care or similar; previous experience in a hospital or working with the public is desirable and a DBS check is required.
