Play a key clinical role as a Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician at Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, based at the RUH in Bath (BA1 3NG). This Band 5, full‑time, fixed‑term (6 months) post pays £31,049–£37,796 pa (pro rata) and requires MOPT and ACT accreditation plus current UK professional registration and DBS clearance. You will work on a rostered basis within the multidisciplinary medicines optimisation team, carrying out medicines reconciliation, managing the Patient’s Own Drug (POD) scheme (including self‑administration where introduced), counselling patients, liaising with ward pharmacists, prescribers, nurses, care homes and community pharmacies, and initiating one‑stop dispensing supplies once clinically checked by a pharmacist — always working to current legislation, Trust policy and best practice to safeguard patients.
