Position: Care Assistant
Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents. You will be responsible for providing personal care, emotional support, and assistance with daily activities to the elderly with dementia care, challenging behaviour, PTSD and much more. Your compassionate nature and professional skills will make a significant difference in the lives of those you care for.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with mobility and always ensure their safety and comfort.
- Provide emotional and social support, promoting a positive and nurturing environment.
- Assist with feeding and ensuring residents' nutritional needs are met.
- Administer basic first aid and support in emergency situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months experience working as a care assistant in the UK.
- Up-to-date mandatory training, including practical sessions in moving and handling, basic life support, and first aid.
- Enhanced DBS certificate, allowing you to work with adults and children, registered on the update service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to handle challenging behaviour with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
