Job summaryo To support and deputise for the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
o To carry out the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the ward/department.
o To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post registration students.

Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse for Paediatric day care - Jungle ward
We are looking for an experienced children's nurse who has the appropriate skills and knowledge help manage our very busy Paediatric Day Ward.
The successfully candidate will be expected to deliver expert nursing care, advice and support children and their families and our junior staff.
The post holder will work together with our multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic care to the children having medical and surgical day procedures.
The role will involve coordinating care and treatments while ensuring smooth flow of services with kindness and compassion.
The post will require an individual who is confident and sufficiently experienced to work with a degree of clinical independence while helping managing a team of skilled nurses and liaising with unit consultants.
We would like the candidates to have day care or A&E experience.
