Job description
Support men with complex mental health needs as a Mental Health Support Worker with Practice Plus Group at HMP Preston (PR1). This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week on a weekly rota between 07:30–20:30, working a variety of shifts Monday to Sunday with every other weekend included. You will work across the inpatient unit and the wings, caring for people with severe mental health problems and personality disorders; duties include assisting the nursing team, reporting observations and assessments, venepuncture, physical care, contributing to care plans, and supporting clinics and health promotion. The role suits compassionate, organised carers who want hands-on clinical experience and continuity of care in a challenging but supportive environment, with a salary of £25,557–£29,723 depending on experience.
