Job description
Play a hands-on role supporting Occupational Therapists within the Stroke and Neurology service at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping and across the West Essex Early Supported Discharge (ESD) caseload. This Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant post is permanent, part‑time and available as a job share, combining ward-based rehab on Beech Ward with community visits. You’ll carry out assessed, manualised treatment and group work under the supervision of a qualified OT, complete equipment assessments and ordering, manage audit and data tasks, and contribute to service development projects — all within team protocols while the OT retains clinical responsibility. The role requires travel across the locality, a DBS check and availability for rota cover including weekends and bank holidays.

The Trust supports flexible working from day one and offers development, training, season ticket loans, NHS discounts, salary sacrifice schemes, a staff bank and options to buy or sell annual leave — a good fit for women seeking meaningful, flexible clinical work that balances family and career.
