As Paediatric Flow Coordinator at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, SE18, you'll take responsibility for bed management and patient flow across the Children's areas. Working alongside nurses in charge, matrons, ED consultants and the site team, you’ll use iCare and the South Thames Paediatric Network Dashboard to monitor capacity and OPEL levels, attend department huddles and trust bed meetings, and resolve delays so children receive timely assessment, discharge and the right care in the right place. This Band 4, part‑time permanent role pays £27,485–£30,162 pro rata plus HCAS and is best suited to someone with acute setting experience, NVQ4 or equivalent and strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
The role offers real day‑to‑day impact on paediatric care and ED decongestion, close working with senior clinicians, and opportunities to develop operational and leadership skills within a trust that champions equality, diversity and inclusion. A DBS check is required and training around safeguarding, data protection and iCare will be part of the role.
