As a Primary Care Network General Practice Assistant (GPA) for Greenwich Health Ltd, based at Riverview Health PCN in SE18, you will reduce clinicians’ administrative burden across a small group of GP practices by arranging laboratory tests and diagnostics, organising specialist referrals, chasing letters, results and hospital prescription queries, and forwarding referral letters to the right departments. You will be the key point of contact between the practice and other healthcare providers, coordinate treatment schedules with allied professionals, produce encounter reports, support registrars on the eRS system, contribute to QOF and other quality initiatives, and provide social outreach for vulnerable patients (homelessness, food banks, domestic violence programmes, Age UK). Normal working hours are between 8.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m., Monday to Saturday; this is a permanent, full‑time post with pay banded at Band 3–4 depending on experience.

Greenwich Health is a not‑for‑profit GP federation that reinvests in staff and local services, offering occupational sick pay, counselling, private healthcare via Benenden, cycle and electric vehicle salary sacrifice schemes, ongoing mentorship and strong career development. This role will suit people with GP practice or caring experience, strong communication and administrative skills and a compassionate approach — particularly appealing to women and carers who want a community‑facing role that values their practical and interpersonal strengths. A GP Assistant Certificate is desirable (and support to develop professionally is available) and appointment is subject to a DBS check.
