Job description
As a SARC Patient Crisis Worker (SPCW) for Mountain Healthcare Ltd based at Beech House SARC, West Malling (ME19), you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed support to people attending sexual assault forensic examinations. The role blends sensitive frontline advocacy and follow-up case management with practical duties: telephone information and support, booking and coordinating visits for adults, children and families, assisting during examinations (including colposcope support), maintaining anti-contamination standards, undertaking audits and environmental DNA monitoring, and helping the service meet UKAS/ISO 15189 and FSR Code requirements. You will also help recruit and train zero-hours SPCWs and contribute to outreach that raises SARC awareness across the South East.
This is a 0-hours/bank role covering 24/7 shifts, including nights, weekends and bank holidays, with competitive shift pay and opportunities for additional hours. It suits compassionate carers — particularly women, as applicants are invited from females only under a genuine occupational requirement — who have good IT skills, experience in a supportive or customer-focused setting, and the resilience to support vulnerable people. An advanced DBS, level 2 police vetting, a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. Mountain Healthcare is a leading partner to the NHS and police and offers unrivalled forensic training, CPD, enhanced family-related pay after one year, wellbeing and rota support.
