Job description
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC‑One in Swadlincote (DE11), you will put kindness at the heart of practical, person‑centred care during night shifts. This full‑time, permanent role is 38.5 hours per week, working 8pm–8am with full flexibility required. You will plan and deliver tailored care that protects residents’ dignity, independence and safety — from supporting people with dementia and end‑of‑life care to helping with mobility, nutrition and medication under the guidance of the Registered Nurse and Care Manager. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you’ll keep accurate records, coach colleagues and create meaningful moments of social and mental stimulation so residents feel known and cared for.
The role pays £13.50–£14.10 per hour and comes with structured training and clear progression (support to work towards Level 3 in Adult Social Care), a paid enhanced DBS, free uniform, a nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more, pension, 28 days’ annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) and a wide range of wellbeing and reward benefits.
