Senior Digital Specialist at Velindre University NHS Trust (Nantgarw, CF15 7QZ) — a fixed-term secondment for up to 24 months, full-time — supporting Velindre Cancer Centre in Whitchurch, Cardiff and the Welsh Blood Service at Talbot Green. You’ll join a busy Digital Services Infrastructure team (over 17,000 calls last year) providing speedy, compassionate IT support to around 1,800 staff and 2,500 devices. This is a practical, hands-on role that suits people who enjoy solving technical problems while supporting clinical teams and donors; English and Welsh speakers are equally welcome, and we particularly encourage applications from women and carers seeking purposeful, career-building work.

You will triage and resolve Service Desk tickets, update records, prioritise incidents, and build/repair desktops, laptops and peripherals, with a strong focus on Microsoft Windows and Office 365 support. Essential: demonstrable IT support experience (ideally in healthcare), advanced IT skills and the ability to perform under pressure; desirable: IT qualifications/certifications and familiarity with server, networking or virtual environments.
