Job description
Be part of a hands-on clinical role at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston as a Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) in Adult Theatres. Based at Bristol Royal Infirmary (BS2), this permanent post offers full‑time (37.5 hrs) or part‑time working and a salary of £24,937 to £26,598 per year. The role is for experienced hospital healthcare workers who hold Level 3 qualifications (or equivalent) and have a caring approach; previous hospital experience is essential and theatre experience is desirable. You will deliver clinical and therapeutic care within agreed protocols, prepare and clean theatres, complete equipment and instrument checks, support patient transfers and positioning for surgery, and maintain accurate records while working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The post is physically and emotionally demanding, involves exposure to bodily fluids and distressed patients, requires flexibility across shift patterns and a satisfactory DBS check. Please note this role does not currently meet the Skilled Worker visa minimum salary threshold for a certificate of sponsorship.
