The Lodge offers dedicated care and support for individuals with learning disabilities. As a Senior Support Worker you will play a vital role in leading our team, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care, and fostering a warm, supportive environment. What we offer: 36.75-49 hours per week Days & Nights Available; 7.00-19.15 & 19.00-7.15 Pension Onsite Parking Paid Breaks Additional £2 per hour overtime 5.6 Weeks Annual Leave (Based on a full-time contract) You will oversee shifts, set a strong example, and be accountable for your team's performance. Your leadership will be key to maintaining a caring, efficient, and positive atmosphere in our home. What You’ll Do Lead and Coordinate: Ensure all staff contribute to the smooth running of the home and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Resident Support: Assist residents with personal care such as dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility, while prioritizing dignity and independence. Medication Management: Oversee the ordering, administration, and accurate documentation of medication. Effective Communication: Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and compassionate communication. Team Collaboration: Foster a team-focused ethos, respecting diversity and promoting a supportive environment for all staff. Visitor Interaction: Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home’s facilities. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency assess situations, and provide or escalate assistance as needed. Documentation: Maintain and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes to reflect residents’ needs and wishes. Professional Development: Participate in meetings, training, and e-learning to support your personal and professional growth. Health and Safety: Follow Health and Safety policies, including COSHH regulations, and report any concerns to management. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essential. Medication Training: Experience in practical medication administration with proven competencies. Leadership Skills: Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, while delegating tasks effectively and maintaining a supportive environment.
