Job description
Based in Northallerton, this permanent full‑time Social Worker role with NHS Jobs (salary £38,220–£42,839) puts you at the heart of person‑centred adult social care. You will carry out asset‑ and strength‑based assessments, determine eligibility against national standards and co‑produce personalised care and support plans that deliver real outcomes for adults and carers. The role includes safeguarding adults, leading enquiries where required, urgent interventions, commissioning support packages, representing cases with partner agencies and in court, and keeping clear electronic and paper records. You will promote reablement, personalisation, direct payments and other approaches to maximise choice, value for money and alternative funding streams, and contribute to performance data and service development as part of the duty team.
This post will suit compassionate, pragmatic social workers and carers—including those with sensory specialisms—who want hands‑on change and the chance to mentor others. You’ll work across multi‑agency networks, support Deaf, deafened and deafblind people where applicable, act as a Practice Educator for students and help develop local community capacity. If you value meaningful, skilled work that empowers adults and their families, click the “Apply Now” button beside this advert to proceed — you can also find the listing on jobsincare.com.
