At St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, based in Surrey, we’re dedicated to the integration of innovative, patient-centred Point of Care Testing (PoCT) solutions across both primary and secondary care environments. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist in PoCT, nestled within the dynamic sites of Epsom and St Helier Hospitals, you’ll play a significant role in overseeing a suite of PoCT analysers and devices. You will contribute to the governance, quality assurance, and technical support, ensuring optimal functioning and maintenance of PoCT systems. Working alongside a supportive management team, including a PoCT manager, coordinator, and trainers, you’ll leverage your significant experience in PoCT and quality management to deliver resilient and safe diagnostic services that adhere to ISO standards.

This opportunity calls for a motivated and enthusiastic professional who thrives in independent roles and possesses excellent organisational and communication skills. You'll assist in training new staff, supervise PoCT device operations and maintenance, and ensure all operator training requirements are fulfilled.
