Job description
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking a passionate Speech and Language Therapist to join their vibrant Autism Intensive Support Team. This pivotal role involves working closely with Autistic adults experiencing a mental health crisis, with the aim of preventing hospital admissions. You'll be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team that includes Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and other specialists, all collaborating to deliver tailored interventions and develop communication plans. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be diverse—ranging from conducting clinical assessments and risk evaluations to providing trauma-informed and autism-informed interventions, alongside offering bespoke training for families and carers. If you thrive on innovation and are keen to make a significant difference to individuals' lives and their support networks, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The role is based in Coventry but requires travel across Coventry and Warwickshire, with flexible hours to support individuals at critical times. This is an exciting time to join as the team is poised for growth, offering ample opportunity for professional development alongside like-minded, committed colleagues. The right candidate will have experience in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environments and will actively engage with families in homes, schools, or community settings several times a week. With a focus on systemic working that includes engaging with adult mental health services, social care, and education, you’ll work as part of an innovative team that values a holistic, network-focused approach.
