SPOA Mental Health Practitioner (Band 6) at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, Swandean Hospital, Worthing BN13 3EP. This permanent, full‑time role (salary £38,682–£46,580) places you at the front door of West Sussex CAMHS Single Point of Access, screening referrals, carrying out risk assessments, writing clear clinical rationales and directing children, young people, their families and carers to the most appropriate support. You’ll work as part of a multi‑disciplinary, multi‑agency team to reduce waiting times, identify support while referrals are processed, liaise with partner services and provide advice to professionals and parents. The role requires current UK professional registration, post‑registration training, strong IT and communication skills, experience supervising staff or students, the ability to manage complex needs and prioritise caseloads; a DBS check will be required and sponsorship applications are welcome and considered.

Sussex Partnership emphasises career development, flexible working and staff wellbeing — home‑working, part‑time hours or flexible start/finish times can be discussed to support a healthy work–life balance. If you are a compassionate, organised practitioner who values working with families and making an early, practical difference to children and young people’s mental health, this post offers supervision, development and the chance to put research and learning into practice.
