Job summary
We have a great opportunity for a support worker to join our Crisis House Team based at Redhills House in Exeter.Redhills Crisis House in Exeter offers a welcoming, safe and friendly environment for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis and who need a short period of intensive support away from home.We are open 24/7 every day of the year.Our main aim is to help you manage and resolve your crisis through assessment and treatment in a homely environment.

The support worker will provide direct therapeutic engagement to services users in crisis, supporting them in a co-constructed manner, to move away from the crisis point and focus on desired future goals and solution building.As part of the Crisis House Team, you will develop strong links with carers and other networks to support the service user to develop a co-produced management plan that allows them to contain their current crisis and build on existing skills and community links to further support their future management and wellbeing.The support worker will assist in the day to day running of the Crisis House environment and will ensure that all service users maintain their activities of daily living.The support worker will be supervised by the House Manager and will be closely supported as necessary in the management of risks and the deteriorating service user, by the Home Treatment team.
