Support Worker at Woodside Cottage & The Elms in Newport (NP20) — a full‑time permanent role with shifts from 08:00 to 20:30 and pay of £13.20–£13.90 per hour. A full UK driving licence is essential. You will support eight people at Woodside and residents at The Elms who have learning disabilities alongside needs such as autism, acquired brain injury, Prader–Willi syndrome, complex health needs or physical disabilities. Day‑to‑day duties include prompting and coaching people towards greater independence, encouraging hobbies and life skills (budgeting, shopping, paying bills), supporting healthcare needs including medication and appointments, and assisting with personal and domestic care as needed. No previous care experience is necessary — full training, a paid induction and ongoing coaching are provided, and many managers began their careers as Support Workers here.
