Play a vital practical role in the operating theatre at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust, based at Central Middlesex Hospital (NW10). As a Theatre Support Worker you will assist the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, preparing sterile and non‑sterile equipment, supplying instruments, assisting with gowning and gloving, counting swabs, and ensuring specimens are dispatched correctly. The role includes receiving and collecting patients, maintaining infection control and theatre cleanliness, managing stock levels and responding appropriately in urgent situations. You will work as part of a close‑knit team, record care under supervision, and be expected to complete the Care Certificate in Perioperative Care; a satisfactory DBS check, a good command of English and numeracy at GCSE or equivalent (Level 1/2 or functional skills) are required. Weekend shifts, on‑call duties and a night rotation are part of the rota after competence training.
