The purpose-built Community Diabetes Centre was opened in 1996 and is located on the Kettering General Hospital site. The department has close links with Leicester / Cambridge for endocrine issues and Oxford, to whom patients for pituitary surgery are traditionally referred and with Northampton, where patients would be referred to receive radioactive iodine for benign thyroid disease as well as vascular intervention/surgery. Kettering, Leicester and Cambridge endocrine team meet monthly for discussion of
