A Consultant in Gastroenterology is being recruited by Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board for a permanent, full‑time post based at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend (CF31 1RQ), with duties across the CTM area. The role places you in the senior clinician team responsible for the gastroenterology ward at POWH and requires participation in the CTM gastrointestinal bleed on‑call rota (1 in 11 across RGH and PCH sites). You will lead ward rounds, deliver evidence‑based gastroenterology care, supervise and train junior medical staff, work within multi‑disciplinary teams and contribute to effective use of departmental resources. A complementary specialist interest is welcomed, Welsh and/or English speakers are encouraged to apply, and the salary range is £110,240 to £160,951 per annum.

This opportunity is aimed at experienced clinicians with MRCP (or equivalent), who are on the specialist register or within six months of CCT/CESR, and who have extensive training and practice in general gastroenterology and general internal medicine. CTM is a proud local NHS employer serving around 450,000 people and values respectful, collaborative care — making this an attractive post for women clinicians and carers seeking meaningful clinical work within a community‑centred trust. This post is subject to DBS checks, requires UK professional registration, and applications from those needing Skilled Worker sponsorship will be considered.
