Work as a Bank Dementia Enhanced Healthcare Support Worker with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Winchester (SO22) supporting the Admiral Nurse–led Dementia Team. This bank role (Band 3, £13.60ph) offers highly flexible hours after a qualifying period — early, late, twilight, night and school-time shifts across seven days — so you can shape work around family and other commitments. You will deliver person‑centred care for patients living with dementia, providing practical and emotional support, liaising sensitively with relatives and carers, and communicating clearly in complex or stressful situations. Mandatory Trust induction and paid training are provided, DBS checks are required, and you’ll be eligible for unsocial hours enhancements, NHS Pension membership and the convenience of electronic rostering via smartphone, tablet or PC.

This opportunity is designed for caring, experienced staff with at least 12 months’ dementia care in a health or social care setting, good written and verbal English, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The bank contract can be your main source of income or a reliable extra, with weekly or monthly pay options and scope to develop skills through supported on‑the‑job learning.
